The Key Receipt is a simple receipt given to the tenant upon return of keys to the rental. Many landlords require the use of a receipt in order to document the official return of possession of the premises.

Receipt Uses

This receipt is also be used to release the key to new tenants. It documents that you have officially turned over possession of the premises and that the new tenant takes responsibility of possession.
