I would tell her to pay the full rent and you will give her a check back for "3 days" rent for the bother. Explain she slept, ate and lived there otherwise.

I never let a tenant give me anything but the "full rent" amount. I will give a check back for anything when needed.

As a renter, I can't even believe landlords would consider not offering compensation for a tenant not having a shower. I had my pipes freeze and I was without water in my bathroom for 5 days. It is required BY LAW for landlords to keep the plumbing in working condidtion. If you landlords don't compensate your tenants, I would bet that if it gets to court, you may just be paying for even more than you bargained for. Hopefully, these tenants will turn to their city inspectors for another opinion. Maybe that will get these ill-maintained properties up to snuff.

your an possibly uninformed. of course you should pay for it. What if you didn't have a shower for a week? I'd sue the hell out of you.

Are you people CRAZY telling a person that they can't prorate rent when not being able to shower. I did it...$60 per day deduction. When my slum lord sued me for the fiull amount of the rent. Boy did he get a rude awakening!
