Cost of Delta faucet vs. Wolverine Brass

Hi Bill,
You asked about the cost of the Delta faucet. It was $403 list price, and our plumber would sell it ti us for $277.50, if they were doing the installation work. Delta model number 470ARDST.
We bought the Wolverine Brass model number 85074 for $225.20.
I like Delta products a lot in general, but in this case we chose the WB faucet because it is solid brass and has a good weight and feel to it. (The comparable Delta faucet is plastic and lighter weight.)
Prices are through Laker Electric and Plumbing in Batesville, IN. (A terrific company, if anyone else on the forum lives in this area.)

A quick Google search shows that Delta model number 470-AR-DST is available for about $129. Double-check me, but if so, that plumber isn't doing you any favors.

It is my understanding that the Wolverine is a "brass body." This is different from all solid brass components. However, on Ebay you can get an all brass component bathroom faucet For as low as $50 if you will search for the brand Elizabethan Classics. I have installed on and it is the best faucet I have ever seen.
